"The competency descriptive and mathematical modelling relies on extensive and well established base of shared knowledge and understanding in mathematics and engineering. Models are way to communicate and come across with important aspects of designing a product."

 

I am still getting familiar with this competency, but I do get the basic idea. By using a model a design challenge can get easier and separated in smaller steps you have to take. For upcoming semester I want to get more familiar with this competency, and to understand its meaning better.
