Competencies.
Growth
In my first quartile I became familiar with all the competencies on a very basic level through the DG000 assignments.
Within our project we did allot of user research and interviews. We did a co-design session with three office workers. This helped me with making the project more concrete, this is why I want to continue to focus on an user centred approach in my next project.
At the end of the project we delivered a very nice looking prototype, which I am very proud of, but I only made a small part of it. This is why I want to focus more on the competency form and senses, next semester and I am planning on taking the assignment basic form giving skills for this. Because I also noticed that it is very important that you can support your ideas with solid sketches and prototypes. At the moment my skills in this competency are too basic, so I really want to focus on this more.
This semester I took the assignment creative electronics, now I have the knowledge to apply in prototypes I am planning to use this more in the upcoming semester.
At the start of this academic year I was really anxious for the self-directed and continuous learning, which of course is an important part of the study. But now I am more familiar with this concept and I know that by allowing yourself space to learn and developing myself, motivates me much more to explore new thing and to gain more skills and knowledge within Industrial Design.
